• You must be an individual (not an organization).

• You must be at least 18 years old.

• You and your gathering must be located in the United States.

• Your gathering must take place within 21 days of being pre-approved for funds.

• You must not have previously received funds from The Wednesday Night Pizza Club.

We do not fund the following types of gatherings:

• Digital gatherings (ex: Zoom parties)

• Gatherings of less than 3 people

• Weekend gatherings (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)

• Family gatherings (more than 50% family)

• Organizational or transactional events

• Extreme fringe, explicit, and cultic gatherings

• Anything that could be considered illegal or harmful

All gathering hosts are required to submit a post-gathering verification form. This form will be sent to you via email after you are pre-approved. You will be asked to submit a receipt from your gathering showing your food expenses. At this stage, you will also be asked to answer basic questions about your gathering, perform a quick identity verification, and collect your peer approvals.

We use Plaid to confirm you are human prior to payouts. It requires you to submit basic information and perform a selfie check.

In your post-gathering verification, you’ll be asked to submit the phone numbers of two of your peers. We will send them a short text, asking them to verify the details of your application by responding with a simple “yes.” These endorsements from your peers are a community-driven safeguarding measure to promote accountability and ensure the legitimacy of all gatherings.
